Giles and Darcy land Westmeath jobs

Published 09/10/2010

Larry Giles and Tom Darcy have been ratified as Westmeath football selectors for 2011.

The pair, who played for the county during the 1980s, replace Paul Conway and David Mitchell in manager Pat Flanagan's backroom team.

Conway and Mitchell had been involved during this year's championship, when Flanagan acted as interim manager.

Flanagan has also brought in former Longford player Trevor Smullen as physical trainer.
