Horan gets Limerick top job

Maurice Horan is the new Limerick football manager. The Mayo native has been confirmed in the post for a one-year term by the county board.

He replaces Mickey Ned O'Sullivan, who stood down after five years. Horan (35) served as a selector under O'Sullivan.

The new boss will be assisted by trainer Ephie Fitzgerald, who managed Nemo Rangers to two Munster club titles.
