Hurling, football dates announced

The Munster Council has announced dates and venues for next year's football and hurling championships.

Provincial football champions Kerry will play Tipperary in a quarter-final on May 22, while All-Ireland SFC winners Cork are in action on the same day against Clare in Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

Hurling champions Waterford will begin the defence of their title with a semi-final against Limerick in Thurles on June 12.

Munster SHC 2011

May 29 - Tipperary v Cork, Thurles (quarter-final), June 12 - Limerick v Waterford, Thurles (semi-final), June 19 - Clare v Cork or Tipperary, Thurles or Limerick (semi-final), July 10 - Final.

Munster SFC

May 22 - Kerry v Tipperary, Killarney (quarter-final), May 22 - Cork v Clare, Pairc Ui Chaoimh (quarter-final), June 4 - Limerick v Kerry or Tipperary, Limerick (semi-final), June 5 - Cork or Clare v Waterford, Pairc Ui Chaoimh or Ennis (semi-final), July 3 - Final.
