Maguire inspires Louth victory

Louth produced a strong performance to beat Wicklow by 2-13 to 1-12 in the O'Byrne quarter-final.

Derek Maguire proved to be the hero for the Wee County with two goals in the first half.

Maguire also won a penalty, but Shane Lennon's kick was saved by John Flynn.

Tony Hannon knocked over a handful of Wicklow points, but they trailed by 2-6 to 0-6 at the interval.

Seanie Furlong's strike reduced the deficit to two points, but Louth held on to claim their place in the last four.
