No decision reached on Tyrone's McKenna Cup punishment

Published 17/01/2007

A specially convened Ulster Council meeting has failed to come to any conclusion about the punishment facing Tyrone for fielding student players in the Dr McKenna Cup.

The council last night decided to offer county officials a fresh hearing to explain the matter.

Tyrone's weekend McKenna Cup clash with Cavan has been put on hold in the meantime.
