No winter break for Kerry squad

Published 26/11/2010

The Kerry footballers will have no team holiday this year for the first time in seven seasons.

A combination of the county's failure to get past the All-Ireland quarter-final and the economic recession which has gripped the country means the Kingdom stars will remain at home this winter.

Meanwhile, An Bord Pleanala is set make a ruling on the planning appeal for McHale Park, Castlebar in the next week.

A planning application for a broadcasting tower and floodlights were made by the county board earlier this year, but no decision has yet been made.
