O'Grady set for Limerick top job

Former Cork manager Donal O'Grady is set to be named as the new Limerick hurling boss.

Former Limerick stars Ciaran Carey and TJ Ryan have both agreed to join the management team.

A Limerick county board source said: "The (appointments) committee was keen on a three-year term, however, Donal has only agreed a one-year deal at the moment. What will happen next is that his name will go before a meeting of the board later this week for ratification."

O'Grady, who won the Liam McCarthy Cup both as a player and manager with Cork, has been recommended for the position by the specially formed committee.
