Tallon finds target twice as Glen make it three titles in succession

Glen, Maghera sealed their third consecutive Ulster Under-21 club Championship on Saturday, beating Armagh champions Crossmaglen Rangers.

Although they went in at half-time ahead by the slenderest of margins, 0-7 to 0-6, their display in that period deserved better.

Crossmaglen gained some joy from the direct approach, and they took a lead when Rory O'Connor hammered a goal in the second minute of the second half. Glen's response came from a goal by Derry senior Danny Tallon, who held off his marker to find the corner of the net. Tallon later found the net with a penalty, after being fouled himself.

Rory O'Connor added a second goal himself for Cross and further points by brothers Rian and Oisin O'Neill left it extremely tight at the end. But Glen held out to add to their impressive haul of underage titles.
