Tyrone defeat Down in Ulster Minor Championship opener

Tyrone 1-18 - 2-6 Down

A strong Tyrone side have defeated Down during their Ulster Minor Championship opener.

The side had little difficulty in clearing their first hurdle - defeating Down 1-18 to 2-6.

The Red Hands saw off their rivals during a frenetic match at Healy Park in Omagh.

Tyrone minors now progress to play Monaghan in the Ulster quarter-final on Sunday, May 25.
