Tyrone have video of violence

Published 28/10/2008 | 00:17

Tyrone’s county board have moved swiftly to launch an investigation into the scenes which marred the end of their senior football final in Omagh on Sunday.

Dromore manager Noel McGinn has already put his hand up and accepted responsibility for his actions but others can expect to be censured for some serious altercations.

TG4 footage shows McGinn, a former Tyrone star of the 1980s and respected radio commentator, lashing out with his head at a Clonoe substitute after one of his own players was headbutted.

He has already expressed "disappointment" with his own actions and will accept any punishment meted out to him.

County chairman Pat Darcy said the investigation by his Board’s CCC will be wrapped up this week as they possess their own video of the game that captured the scenes at the end of the match.

McGinn is facing a ban of up to 12 months with players from both sides also facing heavy suspensions.
