Tyrone return to action

Published 18/01/2011

Tyrone will return to action on Wednesday night, and team trainer Fergal McCann is certain the players will give of their best in the Dr McKenna Cup tie against UUJ in order to honour the memory of Michaela McAreavey, daughter of manager Mickey Harte.

"They will feel that they want to honour Michaela's memory in the best possible way," he said

Following the tragic events of the past week, which culminated in the funeral on Monday of Michaela, who was murdered while on honeymoon in Mauritious, McCann said everyone involved with the squad wants to begin to return to normality.

"I suppose everybody is striving just to get that bit of normality. We'll get back into things for this match, and gradually that sense of routine will come back round again."
