Wexford claim comfortable Antrim win

Wexford defeated Antrim to set up a meeting with Carlow next weekend

Wexford were too strong for Antrim at Wexford Park, where they cruised to a 3-18 to 0-17 victory in a first-round All-Ireland SHC Qualifier tie.

Podge Doran and Rory Jacob netted first-half goals to help the home side to a 2-5 to 0-9 interval lead after the wind-assisted Saffrons had forged ahead with scores from Shane McNaughton and Neil McManus.

Wexford tightened their grip early in the second half with points from Jack Guiney, Jacob and Paul Morris. And they sealed the win with a third goal from Morris and a handful of Guiney points to set up a meeting with Carlow next weekend.
