Wexford retain title

All-Ireland Camogie champions Wexford retained their title with a thrilling comeback win at Croke Park, where they defeated Galway by 2-7 to 1-8.

Una Leacy netted a penalty in the early stages to help the Leinster side to a 1-2 to 0-3 interval lead, but Galway stormed ahead after the break.

They went in front after Tara Rutledge netted a superb goal, but it was the holders who finished strongly, with captain Ursula Jacob hitting the decisive goal to secure a second successive O'Duffy Cup win.

Wexford also won the Intermediate title when they defeated Antrim by 2-12 to 0-15.

Jane Adams claimed a 0-12 tally for Antrim, but early goals from Mairead Graham and Fiona Rochford proved decisive.

The Junior title went to Waterford, who scored a 2-11 to 1-13 win over Down.

Goals from Ruth Geoghegan and Karen Kelly helped the Munster champions to a 2-8 to 0-5 interval lead, but Down staged a strong revival in the second half.

Nicola Braniff pulled back a goal, but Kelly's 1-5 tally helped Waterford hold out.
