Harrington finishes with a 75

Padraig Harrington carded a disappointing 75 in the final round of The Barclays in New Jersey to finish 11 strokes adrift of tournament winner Matt Kuchar

The three-time major winner, who was selected as one of Colin Montgomerie's three wild-card picks for the Ryder Cup on Sunday evening, was not helped by a run of three bogeys in four holes after picking up his only birdie of the round at the third hole.

Kuchar edged a play-off with Scotland's Martin Laird to win the opening event of the lucrative FedEx Cup play-off series.
