Irish Open Player Profiles: Damian Mooney

Damian Mooney

DamianMooney has finished in the money just twice in the 26 European Tour events he has played, a record that he will be aiming to improve when he tees off at Royal Portrush this week.

Most of those appearances have been at the Irish Open which he's played 15 times and indeed so was one of those cuts made, at Portmarnock back in 2003 when he finished 56th.

The Belfast man is attached to the wonderful Ballyliffin club in Donegal these days and does not play a great deal of tournament golf, appearing occasionally on European Challenge Tour and EuroPro Tour events.

He finished in a tie for 23rd place at this year's Ulster Bank Open at Galgorm Castle on the EuroPro Tour in May.
