Irish Open Player Profiles: Harry Diamond

Unlike most top amateur players, Harry Diamond has no ambition to turn pro.

As Rory McIlroy's best friend he's seen at first hand the fame and fortune the game can bring, but he is also well aware of the gulf between talented amateurs and top professionals.

The Belvoir Park man has become a regular fixture in the knockout stages of the Irish majors in the past few years.

He bounced back from a play-off defeat in last year's North of Ireland final to emulate McIlroy and win the West in Sligo this spring.
