Live Augusta Masters Day 4 - scores, leaderboard, tee-off times - Rory McIlroy is now five shots behind Jordan Spieth

US golfer Jordan Spieth is now five shots ahead of Northern Ireland man Rory McIlroy as day four dawns at the Masters in Augusta.

However McIlroy has insisted that the title is still within his grasp.

Spieth dropped three shots on the last two holes to finish on three under par, just a shot ahead of compatriot Smylie Kaufman, with McIlroy on two over.

"I think it's winnable from here. If Jordan hadn't had that finish then I would probably say no," said McIlroy.

"But the guys on two and three over like myself feel we have a chance now."

McIlroy is due to tee off at 6.55pm (GMT) on Sunday alongside American Daniel Berger.

The Holywood man reignited his Masters bid with a one-under-par 71 to challenge Spieth on day two at Augusta National.

McIlroy, who is aiming to complete a clean sweep of golf's four majors, made three birdies in the final six holes to finish three under at the midway point.

The 26-year-old has moved within a shot of overnight leader Jordan Spieth, who is still on the course.

At one stage before his late rally, McIlroy was seven behind Spieth.

Under inclement weather conditions, McIlroy was on Friday night one of only two finishers so far in the 89-man field to finish under par.

He said it was "up there" with the best rounds of his career.

"I kept my composure and I played the shots when I needed to," he said.

"It's only the second day, there's still two days to go. But it's a great round and it's nice to be up there near the lead going into the weekend, instead of on the cut line and having to battle back from where I found myself the last couple years.
