Sir Alex Ferguson 'happy' to throw away £8k bet on Jordan Speith to see Danny Willett win Masters
Former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson told recently crowned Masters champion Danny Willett he had bet £8,000 on Jordan Spieth - and was happy to "throw the money away".
The Scot was captured on camera by the BBC with the Sheffield golfer at a celebration event in Augusta.
"I had £8,000 on Spieth," the 13-time Premier League winning manager told the green jacket wearing Willett.
"I'm so delighted, honestly... happy to throw it away," he added.
