Rory McIlroy-inspired Nike golf club sells out in just two minutes
A limited edition Rory McIlroy putter has sold out in just two minutes.
The $450 Nike Method 006 putter inspired by the World No.1 star's own club was bought by 215 people when it popped up online yesterday.
The prototype putter was used by the Holywood star - who finished fourth at last week's Masters - for his last two major championships.
The sought-after putter is laser-engraved with a Nike Oven logo and bundled with a tour-packaged box of RZN golf balls and a volt Nike head cover.
McIlroy is currently gearing up for the Irish Open at Royal County Down in Newcastle from May 28-31.
The 25-year-old has been a major influence in attracting a top-class field, who will compete for a prize fund of £1.8m - a 25% increase on last year.
His powers of persuasion have resulted in US Open champion Martin Kaymer, former world number one Luke Donald and American Ryder Cup star Patrick Reed confirming their participation.
