Golf action at Royal Portrush

Royal Portrush and Carnoustie have been chosen to host the British Amateur Championship in 2014 and 2015 respectively.

Portrush is the only course outside Scotland and England to stage The Open - Max Faulkner won in 1951 - and it was recently announced as the venue for this June's Irish Open.

Carnoustie saw Paul Lawrie win the 1999 Open after Jean Van de Velde triple-bogeyed the final hole, while Padraig Harrington triumphed there in 2007 when he beat Sergio Garcia in a play-off.

This year's Amateur Championship is at Royal Troon on June 18-23.
