Ireland international Graeme McCarter and North Down leg spinner Jacob Mulder are the new names in the Northern Knights squad for this year's inter-provincials.

McCarter has joined Civil Service North, from Coleraine, and unlike his former North West Warriors team-mate Johnny Thompson has declared himself available for his new province as he attempts to win back his place in the Ireland team.

Thompson, who remains at CIYMS, initially said he would turn out for the Knights but changed his mind just before the squad was unveiled.

Kyle McCallan has stepped down as a selector with Robin Haire favourite for the job.

James Shannon succeeds Andrew White as captain for all three formats, one of three players from the Instonians side which supplies both Knights coaches, with Eugene Moleon assisted by Gavin Rodgers, the new coach at Shaw's Bridge.

NORTHERN KNIGHTS: J Shannon (capt), M Adair, A Coulter, C Dougherty, P Eaglestone, P Eakin, S Getkate, J Holmes, N Jones, G Kidd, G McCarter, J McCollum, R McKinley, J Mulder, L Nelson, N Smith, G Thompson
