Holders Banbridge Academy are through to the semi-finals of this season's Subway Irish Schoolboys Championships - and are joined by neighbouring Ulster school Wallace High.

The Academy eased through their pool in the series staged in Dublin with wins over Methody (4-0), Limerick school Villiers (2-0) and a 1-1 draw with Rathgar's High School.

Jake Rowe was the Academy hero, scoring four of their seven goals, and now they await tomorrow morning's semi-final (9.30am) and hopefully the final (2.40pm).

Wallace High squeezed through their pool on goal difference from Campbell College, following a surprise 1-0 defeat to Newpark - but wins over Ashton (3-0) and Campbell (4-0) were enough to send them through, with Andrew O'Hare top scorer with three goals.

Dublin schools St Andrew's and Wesley complete the final four line-up.
