Ards striker Chloe Brown was among the scorers as Ireland booked their place in the semi-finals of the European Championship II tournament after making it two wins out of two with a 3-0 victory over Ukraine in Prague last night.

Graham Shaw's team need a top-two finish for promotion back into the first division.

Brown forced a penalty corner after 13 minutes. Yvonne O'Byrne deflected in the opener after connecting with Cliodhna Sargent's delivery.

Naomi Carroll smashed home in the 48th minute to make it 2-0 after second-half Ukraine pressure. Brown netted the insurance goal with a drag flick at a penalty corner.

Meanwhile, Ireland's Under-16s produced a superb display against hosts Germany in the Six Nations last night only to go down 2-1 after Sarah Torrens had given them an early lead.
