Banbridge will begin the defence of their Irish Senior Cup with a trip to Dublin to face UCD on October 31.

Mark Tumilty guided his team to the final last season where they beat Cork C of I after extra time to guarantee European hockey and he's keen to see his team clear this year's first hurdle against the students.

Lisnagarvey and Annadale have been paired with Ulster Premier League opposition Civil Service and Belfast Harlequins respectively while Cookstown are one of three teams who were handed byes.

There are six cross-border ties including Instonians against Avoca.

Women's Irish Senior Cup holders Ulster Elks start with a tough trip to Old Alex in Dublin but Pegasus have an easier task against Ulster Premier League side North Down while Ards and Lurgan were two of six teams who receive byes.
