Queen’s edged out of Irish title glory

Published 02/11/2011

Queen's fell to a 1-0 defeat against UCD in yesterday's Chilean Cup Irish Intervarsities final in Galway.

“We did well to keep the scoreline respectable as they had all their international stars in their side,” said Queen's coach Simon Bell.

Queen's had beaten DCU 1-0 in the semis with a goal from Claire Allison while the University of Ulster lost 3-2 to UCD.

Queen's best result came in a Pool game when they defeated Trinity College 2-0.
