Coventry Blaze forward Curtis Huppe has announced his retirement. The
29-year-old Canadian posted 37 goals and 39 assists in 60 games last season,
helping Blaze win the Elite League title and British Knockout Cup.
Huppe, who also spent three years with Belfast Giants, said: "I'd like
to thank everyone at the Coventry Blaze for an extremely memorable last
season.
"My goal was to finish on a high and by winning two trophies with an
amazing group of guys and getting to the play-off finals, it doesn't come
any better than that.
"I've really enjoyed four years playing in the Elite League but there's
a time when you have to look beyond your hockey career.
"The time has come for me to retire due to having a really great job
opportunity in Canada that will benefit me and my family in the long run."
