Keith leads Braehead to victory

Matt Keith had a five-point night to help Braehead Clan return to the top of the Rapid Solicitors Elite League table thanks to an 8-2 victory over Fife Flyers.

Keith scored two goals and added three assists, while Neil Trimm also scored twice to send the Clan back above Sheffield Steelers to the summit.

Zach Hervato scored the game-winning goal as Hull Stingrays sprang a surprise with a 3-2 triumph over Belfast Giants.

Craig Peacock put the Giants ahead on the powerplay at the 8:43 mark of the opening period but the Stingrays drew level through Carl Lauzon.

Powerplay strikes from Matthew Davies and Hervato put the Stingrays in charge and although Kevin Westgarth halved the lead, Hull held on.

In the evening's other game, Jade Portwood scored the game-winner 2:08 from the end of regulation to give Edinburgh Capitals a 3-2 win over Coventry Blaze.
