Kris Beech and Mike Radja score as Belfast Giants stay perfect in Elite League

Kris Beech and Mike Radja scored the goals as Belfast Giants maintained their 100% start to the Elite League season with a 2-1 victory at Coventry Blaze.

Beech opened the scoring 4:31 into the contest and Radja doubled the advantage midway through the second period on the powerplay with Kevin Noble in the box for roughing.

Josh Godfrey cut in the lead in half with the man advantage for the Blaze but they could not find another way through Stephen Murphy in the Belfast goal as the Giants made it four wins from four.

Stephen Schultz scored a pair of goals to lead Nottingham Panthers to a 4-1 win over Braehead Clan at the National Ice Centre.

Bryan Schmidt and Juraj Kolnik also scored for the Panthers, while Alex Leavitt found the net for the Clan.

Defenceman Andrew Hotham scored a goal and added two assists as Cardiff Devils beat fife Flyers 5-2.
