Farquhar ready to take it to the max at Manx

With yesterday’s racing at the Manx Grand Prix postponed until today due to the weather Ryan Farquhar has been given an extra day to recover from his practice crash on Saturday evening before lining up in today’s rescheduled Post Classic and Junior Classic races.

Farquhar said: “I’m still a bit sore and my hand is swollen a bit, but I’ve passed the medical and I’m ready for the racing to start.“

The newcomers race is first up today and with Irish riders Leo Fitzgerald, support road race champion Benny Smith and Derek Sheils second, third and fourth in practice the chances of an Emerald Isle success may be on the cards although Sean Murphy from Douglas will be the man to beat in the ‘A’ class.

Farquhar goes in the concurrently ran post classic and is a clear favourite on the big Suzuki before switching to the 350cc Honda for the Junior Classic later in the day.
