Rea in the mood to celebrate double motorcycling win

Jonathan Rea may make it two wins in a row when the Enkalon club’s Irish motorcycle award will be presented for the 30th time at the club’s annual presentation night which will be held on October 25 in the Comfort Hotel in Antrim.

The choice is entirely in the hands of the racing public who will vote for their favourite rider. The winner last year was Rea who has been on the podium in world super sport this season.

The Laverty brothers Michael, John and Eugene, are also in contention and so are the Dunlops. Michael won an emotional race at the North West 200 two days after his father Robert was killed. He went on to win the 125cc Irish championship and the 250cc in which his brother William was also one of the stars.

In addition Ryan Farquhar also had an impressive season.

On the motocross front Wayne Garrett and Martin Barr have also been at their best.

The voting slips will be available at the Sunflower race on October 15.
