World Superbike star Jonathan Rea's fans will be all ears at King's Hall celebration

By Paul Lindsay

Ballyclare World Superbike star Jonathan Rea has been embargoed from talking about his new deal and first test on Kawasaki's factory World Superbike ZX10R earlier this week in Spain. But the Isle of Man based Ulsterman will be all chat on December 5 at the King's Hall Conference Centre, after being confirmed as one of the star guests at the SPARKS Celebration of Motorsport black tie event in Belfast.

1981 World Rally champion Ari Vatanen is expected to be guest speaker, but local fans will be all ears when Rea is interviewed about his first test on the KRT World Superbike ZX10R.

The 27-year-old campaigned Honda machinery in both the British and World championship paddocks for 12 seasons since his switch from motocross, and his move to Kawasaki will give him the opportunity he craves to finally become World champion.

The SPARKS event is Ireland's premier black tie motorsport occasion and its uniqueness is its ability to share the focus between four and two wheel disciplines. Other top-flight motorcycle stars like Monaco based Toomebridge lad Eugene Laverty - who will race with the Aspar Honda MotoGP team in 2015 - are expected to make an appearance.
