Fogarty heads a star-studded line-up at Ulster motorbike show

By Paul Lindsay

Carl Fogarty will make a guest appearance after 14-time Isle of Man TT winner Ian Hutchinson and 17-time Vauxhall International North West 200 winner Alastair Seeley officially open the Blackhorse Northern Ireland Motorcycle Festival at the Eikon Exhibition Centre in Lisburn today (2pm).

The show, which will run over the weekend from today through to Sunday at 5pm, boasts a star-studded line-up to complement the organisers' vast array of machinery and merchandise on display.

The biggest name set to make an appearance is four-time World Superbike Champion Fogarty, who was also crowned King of the Jungle in the popular TV series 'I'm a Celebrity' back in 2014.

Michael Dunlop is set to wow the fans once again at the Festival in his Ford Escort MK2 rally car.

The 13-time Isle of Man TT winner became the first rider ever to clock a sub 17-minute lap of the Mountain Course last season.

The Ballymoney man completed a big bike double on the island with another imperious performance in the PokerStars Senior TT to move onto 13 wins, only one victory behind the late Mike Hailwood's total haul and that of his main rival, Tyco BMW's Hutchinson.

Dunlop will attend the festival tomorrow and Sunday, as will Fogarty and Lee Johnston who recently signed for Jackson Racing.

The show opens today from 2pm to 10pm, while tomorrow and Sunday, the event runs from 2pm to 5pm.
