Lynch is back for Park fight

Kevin Lynch can't resist the lure of Lurgan Park.

The former Northern Ireland champion has been on the sidelines since the Galway International back in February, but he is to return to bid for a record sixth Lurgan Park Rally win in a row next month.

Lynch has totally dominated the North Armagh Club's showpiece event in recent years, beating a long list of Britain's top drivers including Mark Higgins and Jonny Milner through the tight lanes of the town centre park.

And even though he has taken a back seat this season, concentrating on his business interests, the Dungiven driver will be back behind the wheel of his S12 Subaru on August 8 to defend his unbeaten run.

Challenging him in Lurgan will be the most successful driver of all time in Lurgan Park, nine-times winner Kenny McKinstry and at this stage the line-up will also include Glenn Allen, Denis Biggerstaff, John McGlaughlin, Wesley Patterson, Camillus Bradley, Trevor Moore and Adrian Hetherington.

Blame for this awful mess lies squarely with Capello

Unusually for Fabio Capello, a man who owns some highly valued pieces of art but is not given to too many flights of poetic fancy, he once said that he had a dream. It was right at the start of his England reign and it was that he would lead his team into the final of the World Cup in Johannesburg.
