BBOB¿s Alan Duddy stretches but fails to stop the shot from the Clabby Strollers forward Malcolm Brown, during their Irish Junior cup game at Lisnagelvin.

BBOB made it to the last 16 of the Irish Junior Cup with a 4-2 win over Clabby Strollers.

Braces from Falconer and Scroggy ensures an away tie to Valley Rangers.

In a ding dong battle at Drummond the points were shared. Ryan Scott on target for Drummond whilst Lynch scored an absolute beauty for Sion.

Maghera's defeat means things look ominous for Brian McElhinney's men.

Goals from McGettigan and Wallace helped Burndennett's promotion charge. Their win in Dungiven was matched by all their rivals.

Claudy Rovers won 4-0 while Eglinton beat BB Res 2-1. Jack Logue and Shaun Whoriskey scored for Eglinton.

Goals from Sean Hargan and Andy Porter helped Ardmore to a 2-0 win in Sion.

Roe Rovers Res scored an important win too. Two old hands scored for them, Philip Cooke and Dessie Woods. This was Woods' 100th Rovers goal. Johnny Adams replied for Lincoln. Foyle Wanderers won the only other game 3-1.

Tullyally kept up their charge with a 4-0 at Churchill. On target for Colts were Kenny Richmond, Christopher McFaul, Andrew Cooke and Richard Kayne.

Claudy Utd hit five against City Colts. On target for United were Robert Watt (2), Colin McSparron, Gareth McSparron and an own goal.

The other promotion threat, Ballykelly, slipped up drawing 3-3 with Foyle Wanderers Reserves.

Meanwhile, this week the focus switches to the Matt Morrison Junior Cup. The renamed competition is a fitting tribute to a legend of the North West and indeed Northern Ireland football. The North West Junior League combines with the D&D and the Coleraine League for this event.

Top billing goes to the top two, Newtowne face BBOB in Limavady. High flying Claudy United take on Burndennett and this will be quite a game.

A shoot out between Colm McGettigan and the McSparron brothers perhaps. Holders Bohemians face Portstewart while Clifton Villa take on an improved Eglinton.

Blame for this awful mess lies squarely with Capello

Unusually for Fabio Capello, a man who owns some highly valued pieces of art but is not given to too many flights of poetic fancy, he once said that he had a dream. It was right at the start of his England reign and it was that he would lead his team into the final of the World Cup in Johannesburg.
