Boxing: Duddy and Hatton set for big night

John Duddy and Howard Eastman square up for their showdown in the King's Hall

John Duddy and Ricky Hatton face defining moments in their respective careers this evening.

While Hatton's clash with Floyd Mayweather is the biggest sporting event of the weekend, Duddy knows that if he doesn't beat Howard Eastman before a sold out King's Hall then his world title ambitions are doomed.

Duddy believes that Eastman will bring out the best in him and Hatton takes a similar view of Mayweather who starts favourite against the Hitman when they clash in the early hours of tomorrow morning, live on Sky Box Office.

Hatton said: "This is what it's been all about from day one. Nerves are obviously going to kick in but if Floyd thinks I'm going to crumble on the biggest stage of my career so far, it's not going to happen."

Hatton may just come up short on points but Duddy should be victorious after an exciting encounter.

Those coming to the King's Hall should note the first fight is at 4.40pm.
