Carl Frampton has sent out a stark warning to every super-bantamweight in the world: "The best is still to come."

The European champion has been choking on the plaudits raining down on him since his sixth round knockout of Frenchman Jeremy Parodi on Saturday night, but admits that for him to rule the world, he has to refine his skills even more.

"I'm not the finished article. I am going to get better and better. There's still a lot for me to work on," said Frampton (right), who is now in line for a shot at the IBF World title in 2014 against either Kiko Martinez or Jeffrey Mathebula, who clash on December 21 in Spain.

Frampton added: "To handle the elite of the division you have to do everything well and I know there are things to work on.

"I have shown that I have the power to knock out any super-bantamweight in the world. I just want the chance to prove it."

TV station BoxNation have said they will be backing Frampton's manager Barry McGuigan in the bid to bring the world title fight to Belfast in February or March.

Speaking exclusively to the Belfast Telegraph, BoxNation CEO Jim McMunn said: "We want to be there all the way with Carl.

"Saturday night was phenomenal."
