Paul McCloskey will go into his big fight at the Odyssey Arena tonight knowing a second World title shot is set for December.
The Dungiven man takes on Amir Khan nemesis Breidis Prescott over 12 rounds and promoter Eddie Hearn is adamant that he can give McCloskey home advantage at the Odyssey for a WBA light-welterweight title fight.
It is understood that Marcos Maidana is the man McCloskey will be matched with for the WBA belt if he can overcome hard hitting Colombian Prescott.
Maidana lost the 2010 fight of the year to Khan, while the Bolton man controversially defeated McCloskey on a cut in April.
"With the backing of Sky and Paul's great support we bring more to the table than most fighters in the division," said Hearn, who is also hoping Belfast man Carl Frampton lands the Commonwealth super-bantamweight belt this evening.
