Ballymena’s Graham Wilson admits complacency will not be an issue in tomorrow’s IBA Senior Cup first round clash against Portadown.

“Portadown recently took six points off NIBA title holders Whitehead, so they’ll have our full respect,” said Wilson.

“We have won our three games this season, but with respect to the other clubs, they were games that we were expected to win.”

Wilson believes the manner of last season’s final defeat can be a massive incentive to go one better this time.

“It was hugely disappointing, but it’s now water under the bridge,” adds Wilson.

“We have no few faces to the squad this season, so the team that goes out against Portadown is the team that lost in the final.”
