Allan Coulter proves he is a Knight in shining armour

Allan Coulter will be welcomed with open arms when he turns up at The Lawn tomorrow to play for the Northern Knights in their Newstalk inter-provincial championship game against holders Leinster Lightning (11am start).

He is a third pace bowler for skipper Andrew White and one of the SEVEN who were initially declared injured or unavailable before the weekend.

Although he missed Civil Service North's Premier League game on Saturday with shin splints Coulter has promised to report for duty tomorrow and the Knights will have the luxury of picking from 12 players.

Lightning, who will retain the three-day trophy with a fourth successive win, have had to make one change, although it hardly weakens their squad with the in-form Kenny Carroll replacing Bill Coghlan as opening batsman.
