England will face Ireland in a one-day international in Dublin next August.

The two sides, who last met in Belfast last year when England claimed a three-run win, will clash at Clontarf on August 25.

"We are pleased to have agreed this fixture with Cricket Ireland," said David Collier, the England and Wales Cricket Board chief executive. "Irish cricket continues to make excellent progress and I am sure that Ireland will provide tough opposition for our one-day squad ahead of The NatWest Series against India later in the summer."

Warren Deutrom, his Cricket Ireland counterpart, added: "Our matches against England are always special.

"We look forward to hosting household names including Andrew Strauss, Kevin Pietersen, Graeme Swann and not forgetting Eoin Morgan.

The sides are already due to clash at the World Cup in March.
