Carl Froch will travel to Denmark to defend his WBC super-middleweight title against Mikkel Kessler in the Super Six tournament on April 17.
The Nottingham fighter had already been expected to face Kessler on foreign soil and promoter Mick Hennessy yesterday confirmed the news.
Froch fought away from home against Jermain Taylor earlier this year, coming from behind with a dramatic last-gasp knockout to retain his world title.
In October he began his Super Six campaign with a split decision win over Andre Dirrell but must wait until spring next year to build on that opening victory.
Kessler, meanwhile, is coming off a shock defeat by American Andre Ward last month which saw him lose his Super Six opener and WBA title at the same time.
Hennessy said: “We've confirmed a date of April 17 for the Kessler fight.
“It will take place in Denmark and will be on at around 10pm in the evening UK time which is great news for British fight fans.”
