Doug Christiansen’s men are given an automatic place in the second round of the competition, which will be held on the weekend of October 29-31.

The Giants will face host club Landshut Cannibals and Dutch side Geleen Eaters, as well as the winners of the first round competition.

That will be between Romanian host club HSC Csikszereda, CH Jaca of Spain, Serbian side Vitez Belgrade and Baskent Yildizlari Ankara from Turkey.

If the Giants are successful in round two they will be off to Italy for the third round in November.

That tournament will be hosted by the Bolzano Foxes, with Herning Blue Fox of Denmark and Russian side Toros Neftekamsk lying in wait.

The Super Final will consist of just four teams, rather than eight when the Giants qualified in 2003 and will be played in Donetsk, Ukraine, in January.
