Germany's Andreas Wellinger makes record leap of 144.5 metres in Ski Jumping World Cup

Germany's Andreas Wellinger made a record jump of 144.5 metres to claim victory in the final final leg of the International Ski Federation (FIS) Ski Jumping World Cup Four Hills Tournament in Bischofshofen.

The 21-year-old broke the 12-year record previously held by by Japanese jumper Daiki Ito by 1.5m.

Wellinger received a total score of 144.4 points to secure top spot.
