Izoird on top as Arenacross delights big Belfast crowd
Gravity-defying tricks, pyrotechnics and all-action races illuminated Belfast's SSE Arena for another successful Monster Energy Arenacross Tour on Friday and Saturday night.
Local man Gordon Crockard, a double Supercross champion, was on hand to introduce some of our top local tarmac racing stars like Michael Dunlop, Glenn Irwin, Andy Reid and Alastair Seeley.
But controversy ruled as LPE Kawasaki's Fabien Izoird was crowned Pro Class champion.
In the Pro final, Josh Hansen clashed with Adam Chatfield, and they both went down at turn one. This left the door open for Thomas Ramette, but fellow Frenchman Izoird made an inside move and was never bettered.
The FMX supermen also wowed the crowd.
Edgar Torronteras, Petr Pilat, Jamie Squibb, Dan Whitby, Samson Eaton and Aaron Powley pulled out all the stops, taking their high-flying skills to the next level. The Torronteras beat-boxing segment is always hugely popular too, as is Whitby's LED-Honda routine.
