Lisnagarvey victory is good birthday gift
Lisnagarvey gave their coach Simon Toole the perfect birthday present last night at Ardmore when a 1-0 win over Armagh eased their relegation worries.
Laura Johnston got the only goal of the game 15 minutes after the restart.
The result means Armagh are now almost certain to be relegated. They remain six points adrift at the foot of the table with only four games left. But Garvey are looking safe as they now hold a four point advantage over ninth placed Harlequins with two games fewer played.
Today the attention switches to the other end of the table as Pegasus can overtake Ards at the top if they beat Randalstown at the Antrim Forum although the Co Down side will have a game in hand.
Also today the Ulster Elks and Ballymoney are in Irish Cup quarter-final action against Lurgan and Railway Union respectively.
