Football: Bogside Inn edge top of the table encounter

Bluebell and Metro played out a 1-1 draw at St Columb's Park on Sunday.

Metro took the lead in the 40th minute, when a corner kick from Darren Redden was bundled over the line by James Gallagher.

Bluebell equalised in the 70th minute, when Eamon Carlin beat the offside trap to fire home.

Celtic Swifts recorded a fine 3-1 win over Porters.

An own goal, as well as strikes from Liam Doherty and Gerry McLintock, won it for for Swifts, while Stephen Whorisky managed a consolation for Porters.

Don Boscos' poor run continued when hey went down 2-1 to Three Flowers. A Deery own goal and Dee Dalzell won it for the Flowers, with Sheerin scoring a penalty.

In Division One, the top of the table clash between leaders Bogside Inn and Tristar ended in a 1-0 win for the Inn.

In the 43rd minute, Paul Doherty raced through to shoot home.

Bogside have now opened up a three-point gap at the top.

Elsewhere Carraig beat Downey's 2-0, Culmore drew 1-1 with Don Bosco Youths and Oxford Colts defeated City Harps 2-0.

Curryneirin and Phoenix failed to pick up permits for Prehen against Crescent and Lisahally, and both will lose the points.
