Dee Allen is celebrating the first hat-trick of his career this week.
And the McQuiston Rec midfielder has double reason to feel pleased for his team's 8-1 success over Kilroot Rec has lifted them joint top in the Amateur League's Division 2B alongside Bangor Rangers and Bangor Swifts.
McQuiston were promoted last season and this year's objective was to consolidate.
But an unbeaten four-game start to the new campaign means that they are already up among the pacesetters.
Allen's treble paved the way for their romp over Kilroot. Paul Sterling and Blaine McMillan each struck twice with Lee Finlay getting the other.
The two Bangor teams were involved in the Coca Cola Irish Junior Cup.
The other big score from the section came from Newtownbreda who ran up a convincing 6-2 win over Temple Rangers.
Ian Magowan got two and the others came from Jay Flood, Andy McGrath, Aaron Lewers and Johnny Moorehead.
Kircubbin, 18th Newtownabbey OB, Queen's II and Queen's Graduates were also winners.
The peninsula side won 3-1 at Annalong Swifts; the Newtownabbey lads were 2-1 winners at Grange Rangers; the Queen's students won 3-2 at Rooftop; and the Graduates edged through 3-2 at Santos.
Iain McCafferty was recalled to the Mossley team in an emergency ... and helped them run up a 4-1 success over Iveagh United.
Rob Lee, Graham Bingham and Ainsley Hurst were the Newtownabbey side's other marksmen for what was their first league win of the season.
The biggest score in the section came from Ballywalter Rec. who knocked in six against Albion Star (6-1).
But the other two games proved talking points, with Ardglass recording a 3-0 win over Shankill United and Groomsport registering a similar scoreline at a disappointing Ford.
Castle United chalked up their first league win with a 3-1 win at Bangor YM.
Crumlin Rec and PSNI Olympic were the two other winners in the section, while 4th Newtownabbey OB and Co Down Rangers finished level at 1-1.
Crumlin's win was over Whitehead Eagles (3-1), with Willie John Johnston, Mark Millady and Sean Mahoney scoring the goals.
The police win was over Holywood Rec (2-1).
