Fermanagh certainly chose well when they decided that none other than GAA President Nickey Brennan should formally present medals to their all-conquering under-16 hurling side.
After all, as a former All Ireland hurling winner with his native Kilkenny, Brennan knows a thing or two about starting out on the road to success.
He availed of the opportunity to provide a measure of encouragement for the Erne youngsters when he addressed them at the presentation ceremony in the Railway Hotel, Enniskillen.
"An All Ireland title at any level is something precious. You fully deserve this honour and I know you will cherish it," Brennan told the players.
The Fermanagh players certainly showed just how much they enjoyed their success by the rapturous reception they accorded the president.
County hurling development manager Fabian Burns said: "These boys have shown great commitment over the year.
"As well as winning the All Ireland 'C' Championship they also won the Ulster Under-16 'B' League and now we must try and take things on from here. It is certainly very encouraging for the future."
PRO Deirdre Donnelly said county chiefs will be doing everything possible to further nurture under-age hurling talent.
"Obviously it's a big bonus for these boys to have won two medals within a matter of months," said the Fermanagh PRO.
"This will surely provide the impetus for what we hope will be more success."
