Murray to put Britain in Pole position at Davis Cup

British number one Andy Murray claims nothing will be left to chance in this weekend's Davis Cup relegation tie against Poland.

Murray, the world number three, will spearhead Great Britain's attempts to retain their place in Group I of the Euro/Africa Zone over the next three days in Liverpool.

The Scot will open the contest today with a singles rubber against Michal Przysiezny.

Murray, who returned from the US Open with a wrist injury, said: “It is going to be tough. I plan on playing the three days but I will take it one day at a time and see how I am feeling.”
