NBA In Pictures: Deron Williams upstages Jeremy Lin as New Jersey Nets defeat New York Knicks

New York Knicks 92 New Jersey Nets 100

The return of Carmelo Anthony to the New York Knicks line-up failed to prevent them succumbing to a 100-92 defeat to local rivals the New Jersey Nets.

There had been much speculation as to how Anthony's return would affect the game of scoring sensation Jeremy Lin, the point guard from Harvard who has ignited the Knicks' season and launched the term "Linsanity".

Lin was outplayed by the Net's Deron Williams, who scored a season-high 38 points in a physical game at Madison Square Garden. Lin scored 21 points, shooting 7 for 18 with nine assists.
